Sundried turmeric

A friend has some homegrown turmeric for me.

It was quite a lot to me to finish them soon, so I decided to sun-dry to have longer shelf life. 

 

Luckily there's plenty of sunlight!




After 2 days.

I blended the dried turmeric into powder, easier to use.

Sometimes I will just put a pinch of the powder when cooking rice. The rice will turn into yellow colour. And it smells good too!
