Cozy in the Rocket, Penang

Hearing too much complaint about them (although I didn't encounter any bad experience from my last visit), I was there again to check out.
But luckily we had a pleasant time there.

Banana & passion fruit lassi to cempedak creme brulee to longan & camalansi juice.

The cafe is located at the junction of Beach Street and Armenian Street.
Yes, it's very near to Ernest's famous siblings bicycle mural.

The Mugshot Cafe, Penang

I came here twice during my 2-day working trip in Penang.

First time was for the jackfruit & gula melaka yoghurt and I came for breakfast on the next morning with Michelle.

I had cream cheese bagel and black coffee while Michelle had cappuccino and cream cheese + smoked salmon bagel.
The bagels are to die for. ;)

Street gazing is a good activity here where Chulia Street is so busy and happening all the time.

Lighthouse Coffee, Penang

I got my choice of best coffee in Penang here, to date.

I had piccolo latte on one hot afternoon.

Egg free cookies

I always love bread, cake and cookies.
While I'm on eggless diet now, I gotta skip most cakes in the cafes.

But when I crave for cookies, I opt for this dark chocolate filled cookies which is egg free.
It's organic and vegan too.

Quick lunch series: vege stir fried noodles

I always prefer stir fried than soup for noodles.

I put okra, cherry tomato, mushroom and sunflower seeds in it.
To season I had light soy sauce and sesame oil, typical Chinese style of flavouring. :)

VCR is not videocassette recorder

A corner shop house painted in black at Jalan Galloway, that's where VCR is.
It serves coffee and cakes only.

A pretty sight not to be missed once you entered the cafe.

As they don't serve soy milk, I had filter coffee instead.
I chose Costa Rica brewed with aeropress in 200ml, precisely.
Light roast, lemon-y taste as expected.
I enjoyed it.

I'm on chinese medicine which I can't take egg, so I didn't try any cake.

Cool place and friendly staffs.

Besides that, local fashion designer Pearly Wong has a corner at first floor of the cafe.
