Alce Nero Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

Justlife Shop carries Alce Nero products, which this Italian company was the first to use organic farming methods in their country.

I tried their pasta before, and this time I've got balsamic vinegar made with organic grapes.

It has a very nice and elegant packaging.

And I mix it with olive oil as a dip for my bread.
Here's my breakfast with olive & rosemary bread from Ben's Independent Grocer, my favourite!

Butter+Beans revisited

My second visit here on a weekday afternoon.
The bigger signage can be seen now on the black colour blind. :)

Cute writing on the DB box.

Homecook: Tofu sesame bread ball

I saw this quick bread recipe from a blog.
It looks simple and fast, so since I had the ingredient (all in organic somemore!), I tried to make them.

Just mixing everything in a bowl and blend well.

The look out from the oven.

It's really simple.
However, not sure what's wrong the dough wasn't rising enough.
The internal part was still a bit wet.
I think I might need to put less of the tofu next time.
Lucky it's still edible, haha~

Tea time at Secret Recipe Beyond Vege

Since our last visit for dinner here, we promised to come back for the eggless cake.
So we're here. :)

They are now on tea-time promotion whereby diners can enjoy a slice of cake and a cup of gourmet coffee or tea for RM8.80+ between 3pm and 6pm.

It was a quick meal for us before movie at 6pm.
We had 2 sets of the tea time meal with a pizza.

One flat white, one americano, pistachio cake and original cheese cake.

We're quite curious about the pistachio cake as it looked so good, but it tasted just normal.

First time trying Hawaiian chicken pizza, RM16.90.
Not bad.

Nando's serves vege meal!

This is certainly a surprise!
I was in a shopping mall in Klang for lunch while waiting for client.
We were undecided what to eat, and we stopped in front of Nandos.

We were like "Hmm, maybe we can try since long time never had meal there."

I wasn't keen on eating the main meal (as in chicken la) and thought maybe I'll just have tortilla wrap which contains less meat.
So I found there's vegetables wrap in the menu~woo!

The wrap -grilled vegetables with hot peri-peri sauce.
The wrap only is RM9.90+ but I added one side dish that was garlic bread, so total RM13.90+.
Also, a lot of side dishes are vege-friendly too.

Isn't it nice? :)

Namoo On The Park (2nd visit)

The 2 K-pop fans in my family craved for bing-soo (Korean style shaved ice dessert), so we braved the rain on one weekday night to Publika just to have that. (O.o)

Sweet potato latte. We're being adventurous to order this not knowing how it tasted.
Something might be a disaster, we thought.

But surprisingly,  it was GOOD!
Its creamy texture combining with the nice fragrant of sweet potato, a pleasant one I must say.

Kimchi fried rice. A bit spicy, but no worry it's tasty.

Bibimbap.

The dish of the day- bing soo!
Not for me, though.
I thought it was crazy to have this on a cooling rainy night.
But the 2 girls were enjoying themselves. ;P

Sweet potato cake with ice cream.
I had this too on my last visit, still as good!

Happy that all the meals we had for this visit were all good.

Coffee Société, Publika

More and more cafes could be found in Publika that everytime I'm there, I'm spoiled for choice.

I saw this relatively new cafe (a few months ago) during lunch time, since they offered lunch set with coffee, I thought it's a chance for me to try out their coffee and food at the same time.

For the ambiance, I quite like the cosy feel of it.
Vintage and industrial look is a popular trend now, somemore the interior was done by The Great Indoors who loves salvaging old furniture!

The lunch set I had -spaghetti and cappuccino, if not mistaken it's RM10.

Coffee is good. Passed. :)

The aglio olio was originally with chicken, but I asked for vegetables only.
It was quite bland, I think I made better at home.

Tray Cafe, Plaza Damas

This corner in Plaza Damas was previously run by The Haute Food Co. has been taken over by Tray.
The Haute Food Co. is now focusing on their catering service.

Tray still maintains the style of the previous tenant, that is the daily lunch menu.
They will display the menu only near lunch time, and it won't be the same menu for the next day.

That's quite exciting, isn't it? :)

Hot cappuccino. RM7.50
Not my favourite type, and it was too hot that it burned my tongue.

Unfortunately I wasn't keen on any of the dish of the day.
But luckily they still have the regular menu to choose from, so I had the
roasted vegetables sandwich. (RM14)

A very huge portion for me.
Sweet potato, brinjal, carrot and capsicum were spotted.
I love it!

The Bird for fish head curry!

This is one long-time-ago visit.
Just noticed I didn't blog about it recently. ;P
Only photos to look at and the taste that I remember.

We've got to know about their signature dish -fish head curry from friends, so we headed over there for dinner one day.

They make the place resort feel.

This corner is like dining room at home.

How can we don't order their star item right?
So this big portion of fish head curry won us over first sip of the gravy.
It's spicy and flavourful!

Butter + Beans at Seventeen

First, I saw an update from the interior decorator about this new cafe.
Then, a friend visited and posted some nice photos of it.
After that, another friend shared the page of this new cafe, saying that I might wanna visit soon.

So I landed in Section 17 on one weekday evening after getting all these buzzes. :)

It was quite easy to locate the tiny cafe if you're familiar with Happy Mansion.
You will find it first before reaching Food Foundry which is located at the row behind Butter+Beans.
