Pingvinen, Bergen

I found out about Pingvinen online, which the cafe and bar offers some of the most authentic Norwegian food.

I had this mashed potato, fish and crispy bacon with flat bread.
It was good, and I was fooled by the look. I didn't think it's a big portion, but I was quite stuffed before I could finish it.
I hardly had beer normally. But then they serve beers from micro breweries on tap and that attracted me to try it. It's certainly fresh, why not?
I ordered a glass and went tipsy even it's only 2 sips. *I know I'm lame*

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the cosy ambiance at the cafe.

Iced coffee for hot day

I normally go for hot coffee, but for a hot day I sometimes will opt for iced coffee.

I used 15g of coffee bean with 150ml of hot water (90°C).
I will always use freshly ground coffee.
I put the dripper over a server with strainer (2-3 ice cubes inside) so that when the coffee is dripping, the ice could cool down the coffee immediately.

Once the dripping is done, put more ice cubes into a glass and pour the coffee in.
Enjoy the refreshing iced coffee!

Taking bus towards Skøyen to drop off at Karenslyst allé, I walked along the lane to reach Maschmanns.

 I realized I've not been baking bagels for quite some time, so I tried baking one batch on Sunday night.
They turned out well, puffed enough!

After that I got an ordering from friends, so I baked more last night.
Plain, cranberry and mixed herbs.
