Bad Boy Cooks, Oasis Square Ara Damansara

After the meeting on the same day I went to Epiphany, I came to this burger store for lunch.

Just to check out if they had meatless burger, and they have!

By the way, they need to have something to absorb the sound/noise as all the glass windows are reflecting it, and imagine a full house lunch crowd!

My order -green BB- with egg, onion, cheese, mushroom and fries (RM9.90). Not the best meatless burger I had, but still great effort.

Epiphany Coffee & Tobacco, Oasis Square Ara Damansara

Not sure if it's because I'm not familiar with the naming of the buildings here, it was confusing.
I was looking for Block D according to the address given, but no sign of Block A-B-C-whatever.
There are actually names like Capital-(something) on the building.

So I just walked around to find this cafe.
Lucky I paid attention to the shop front and i found it.

This is a tobacco-and-caffeine-are-friends cafe.
Cappuccino wasn't bad but it has a hint of bitterness that getting stronger towards the last sip.
I was here for a meeting after this at another cafe so I didn't order any cake to try.
Next time, then.

香海日式素食坊 Shiang Hai Vegetarian Restaurant

This vegetarian restaurant has been in Sunway Mentari for many years, but it was my first time there last Saturday.
Their specialty is the vegetarian sushi. We had 2 types- black rice and mango. Both were good, but I love the mango ones!
 Black rice sushi RM15.

 Mango sushi also RM15.

Spinach noodles, RM8 if not mistaken.
The texture wasn't the soft nor springy, like 面粉果。
It's not that flavourful too, so I had to ask for cili padi to go with it.

Toasted focaccia with banana

One of my favourite gadgets in the kitchen is sandwich maker.
It's so convenient and versatile, as I love bread so much I eat almost everyday.

So to have a variety of bread is good.
With the sandwich maker, even if I bought a loaf of bread which can last me for a few days, I still can make something different each day.

This time I made toasted focaccia with sliced banana in it.
Banana tastes so good with slightly toasted!

*Focaccia bread by White Brick Oven.

Raisin scone by White Brick Oven

My first scone experience wasn't good at all.
I think it's not fresh anymore.
That made me a little reluctant to try scone again.

When I got the chance to try other scones from various bakeries, I thought they were all better.
But great? I wasn't sure.

Chenyee kept on telling me this organic raisin scones by White Brick Oven is the best she ever had.
Ok. But I never had a chance to try as one needs to travel to a quite remoted corner of Sg Buloh to get them.

So when she brought some from her office, she was like showing me present from Santa with a grin on her face.

She reheated the scones in the oven for breakfast on the next morning.
And yes, she's right, it was delicious!
That first bite already push its name to the top of the list for the best scone. :)

Coffee Societe, Publika

I tried Coffee Societe before.
The aglio olio I had wasn't great at all.

Seriously, we came because we didn't know where else (that we're interested) to try in Publika.

The mains are quite limited, so we had more desserts.
First up was the popular one -red velvet (RM12/slice).
I guess so la, as I saw 2 big whole cakes at the display.

Invited review: Dian Huo Xin Wo 点火心窝

First of all, congratulations to Jeffrey and friends on the opening of this steamboat restaurant.

For your info, Dian Huo Xin Wo will also serve dim sum soon.
Hence the combination of the name-dian xin 点心 means dim sum, and huo wo 火锅(窝) is steamboat.

I love this herbal tea, with real stuff huh. ;)

The in-house chili paste, spiciness confirmed.

Some appetizer to warm up: tong sam century egg (RM4.50) and fried salmon skin (RM6).

Exhibit Cafe, TTDI

I was looking for bakery when I found this cafe. I went up to have a look if they had bread where the owners- a Malaysian guy and his Japanese wife welcomed me.
So since I was there and seeing this nice cafe, I went in.

By the way, They are selling the furniture exhibited in the cafe. They are going to have coffee brewing stuffs soon too

I tried the vanilla & macadamia flavoured coffee and apple turnover. I didn't fancy the strong smell of coffee, but the tart was good!

I gonna try Maruyama coffee next time, which I didn't choose to have this time as I normally have medium roast coffee.

I will come back to try their sandwich too.
