Coffee gift

So the story goes like this: I got to know these 2 news at about the same time.

Coffee Famille introduced 'The Happiness Coffee Pack' for weddings as door gift.
My coffee-loving friend JH invited me to his wedding.

So the 2 things clicked in my mind. :)

So I asked Ving if I could order the coffee pack as wedding gift for my friend.
And thanks to her suggestion, I could even customize the coffee packs by drawing on them. :)

It was a challenge to me. I usually doodle, but drawing for other people? I scared I will spoil the beautiful brown paper of the coffee pack.

I finally drew on the coffee packs after a few attempts drawing on rough paper.
My idea was to have to a complete drawing after solving the 'puzzle' in 2 sets.
One is coffee as the couple loves coffee; and another is peony as a blessing to their marriage.

I wish I could draw better. But for this, I'm quite happy because these are for my dear friend! :)

Japanese Noodle Arata 「新」

Thanks for V's recommendation about this low profile Japanese restaurant, we had a satisfied dinner!

I'm not an udon lover, but they serve fresh and springy udon that made me say "oiishi!".
Me and fy shared the food - udon soup, kakiage don and okura cold udon.

Our favourite -cold udon with okra!
Eating it alone is good, but after adding in the sauce, it was so delicious that we could see each other's eyes sparkling. ;P

This is how our table looked in the end.
Enough said.

Plants growing at our balcony

Staying in condominium unit means limited space for gardening.

But we still try to have some edible plants.

 Chenyee is growing brocolli again.
We ate some of the first batch, and tried to let them grow big.
They did grow to a certain size, but dried and died after the bad haze.

 Pandan is doing great!
We use it to cook rice everyday.
Smelling good everytime we cook.

And thankfully the curry leaves surviving and growing well too. :)

Tedboy Bakery, Bangsar Telawi

After our lunch at Wondermama, I thought I might as well visit Tedboy to get my breakfast for the next day.

Looks like I did not only get my breakfast hehe.
I always can't help myself when I see brownie.

It smells good, just a (really) little sweet for me. (RM3)
Still awesome, nonetheless.

Wondermama, Bangsar Village

Bangsar has been a place for me to meet up with friends for the variety of restaurants and cafes, of course also for its good location as a meeting point for us whether from KL or PJ.

Wondermama, I believe, has gained its popularity since its opening last year.
But it was my first time here.
Nice interior setting, see the lighting made of wok!
I love the quirky chairs too~

I had cham with kopi jelly (RM8.50).
I hardly ordered cham before, but since it has a star on the menu, so I thought 'let's have a try'.

Roti dengan kari -perfect match!

I used to have breakfast like that back at home -roti + curry.

So this morning I was kinda excited to have leftover potato curry to go with wholemeal bread, and also white coffee.

Ah, Sunday morning~

I love durian.
Mangosteen? Well, not so into it.
But I think it's pretty.

Sushi Kitchen in Georgetown, Penang

Sushi Kitchen has their first outlet in Sungai Ara, which we were about to give up finding it when we wanted to be there for dinner last year.
Finally, we found their phone number and they gave us the direction to reach as well as made our order! Yeah, the kitchen was about to close so that was an experience for us.

Well, a good news here~
This time we don't have to go all the way there as they have their second outlet at Lebuh Acheh, Georgetown now!

Ohya, I forgot to mention that Sushi Kitchen serves vegan/vegetarian Japanese cuisine.

I don't have their exact address (not in their facebook too), so just spot the door.

Pik Nik on a sunny day

"The artist one day falls through a hole in the brambles,
and from that moment he is following the dark rapids
of an underground river which may sometimes flow so
near to the surface that the laughing picnic parties are heard above."
- Cyril Connolly

Ah, time flies and now we're at the next half of year 2013.

I enjoyed my first half of year 2013. Not that I was only having fun and picnicking throughout the months, I still work hard (to buy myself coffee lol).

Before the end of the 2nd quarter of the year, we managed to squeeze some time to do 'picnicking' at Pik Nik in Penang.

Awesome place, I must say.

I believe they painted the original tiles and after some times, the paint came off.
Now now it becomes a beautiful art.
