Fruits & nuts sensory session @ Coffee Famille

Thanks to Tow Jin and Ving for inviting me to join the session, I'd indeed learned new things about coffee. :)

It's to experience the different tastes of fruits & nuts which are commonly found in coffee.
It's useful for coffee cupping or tasting.
(I joined the coffee cupping session before also conducted by Tow Jin)

I'm grateful to have to chance to learn from these passionate people.
Drink coffee.
Various nuts and fruits for the tasting session.

Elmers Green Cafe, Osaka

After parting with KH at train station (she's heading back to KL one day earlier than me), I straight away heading to the last cafe of the trip -Elmers Green Cafe.

It's quite easy to find as it's inside the building where I reached by subway.

It's a Saturday evening. All patrons were here alone.
It's not a weird scene at all in Japan, so I'm quite comfortable to be on my own here.

Quick lunch series: Tofu open sandwich

From preparing, cooking, food styling, photography to eating, it's a process that I enjoy very much.

It's a quiet Saturday afternoon.
My own quiet time after a long busy week.
Onion, mushroom, fresh basil from the garden, cheese and tofu.
Black olive ciabata from Village Grocer in Sunway Giza.

Organic Babel Cafe, Osaka

This was a surprise finding in Osaka.
We were walking along the street without any anticipation when KH saw a florist shop and stopped to see the pretty flowers.
Then I saw this cafe right next to it.

It looked like a cute cafe worth visiting, organic somemore!
I was so excited that I asked KH that could we go in I could treat her haha~

We were greeted by a sweet young lady after we pressed the door bell.
It was indeed a cute and heart warming cafe.

Quick lunch series: kimchi porridge

My cousin made kimchi (vegetarian style without fish sauce) for a party at her house.
We brought home the leftover. :)

It was good.
We ate it with rice, noodles and one day I had it with porridge.

Fiercer by Fierce Curry House, Publika

I've never tried Fierce Curry House, but we came to their newer outlet in Publika.
One cool place and friendly service too.

By the way, they took away Best Indian Restaurant at Time Out Kuala Lumpur Food Awards 2013.

 Complimentary papadam.

I admire how they use the gravy containers to make lighting at their counter.

Huge portion of vege banana leaf set! (RM10)
We finished everything (although we felt quite full by the time we've done by 80%).

I like my mango lassi (RM7), and chenyee loves her salted lassi (RM6).

aku cafe & gallery, Jalan Panggong

Two doors away from Moontree Cafe, Aku Cafe & Gallery is a newer edition to the neighbourhood last year.
After operating for half a year, I only managed to visit it a few days before year 2013 ended.

Undeniably, it is an amazing space. The furniture, the ambiance and the artwork are impressive.
Oh ya, the music. They were playing some French music, like some movie soundtracks.
That made me feel like in a movie. ;)

Cafe Madeleine, Sunway University

Thanks to JH & YY, I was here for my last cafe discovery in year 2013.

Cafe Madeleine is headed by a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef

My black coffee (RM5) and YY's latte.

Pineapple & avocado toasties with a side salad. (RM15)
JH had pasta and YY had chicken pie.
We shared a croissant too, it was fine but not the best croissant I had.
