Artisan Roast, TTDI

Another cafe moving nearer to us other than Whisk Outpost!

Chenyee and I was intended to visit Artisan Roast in Ampang early this year.
Luckily we did research online and found out that they were planning to move, hence closing down of the Ampang outlet.

Some cakes and desserts in the display.

Indoor, outdoor.

My cappuccino and chenyee's iced black.

Whisk Outpost in One Utama!

Their first outlet is in Empire Gallery.
My sis bought their signature product -macarons before. They were quite good.

Such a good news that they are now nearer to me since they open Whisk Outpost in One Utama.
One more coffee place in PJ, woohoo!

The post in the middle of the cafe is the place for customers to get free flow water.
Nice idea!

Seems like most of the furniture here are custom made.
I like the little wooden chairs, feel like back in primary school again.

I had cappuccino with double shot, and a marble cake for my light lunch.

And so coincidentally that Whisk was hosting a coffee gathering among local cafe owners and Gabee from Taiwan.
A few faces that I could recognized were from Coffee Famille, my favourite cafe in town. :)

French Kisses Patisserie, Village Mall Sungai Petani

It was quite a surprise when cousin sis told us about the opening of this cafe in our small town, Sungai Petani.

Chenyee, a macaron lover, headed to get their specialty when she had the chance last Christmas. (yeah, quite a backdated one)

I'm not a fan of these small size 'burgers' (doesn't it look like one?), but I had a bite of these each for a try.
Hmm, they were actually quite nice, not too sweet to my liking and certainly they passed the test of  'being crunchy and melt in your mouth' at the same time.

I would love to visit their lovely cafe one day, as they have other delicasies and coffee too.

Ettora, Solaris Dutamas (Invitation)

I've been drowning myself in a sea of work recently, hence the slow update.
So now before I'm off to South Peninsular for a friend's wedding during the coming weekend, let me enlighten you with plenty of sweetness from this newly opened world class gourmet gifts shop cum cafe. Chocolates, cookies, coffee, tea...you name it!

Thanks again to Ivy from FOOD and Ms Georgianna Das, the managing director of Ettora for the review invitation.

Once entering this nice little cafe-like shop, you will be greeted with these displayed pretty Belgium chocolates.

How could you resist them? ;)

We were served with assorted chocolates, cookies and cakes.

Since it is a gift shop, they already have a few ideas for gifts on shelves.
Just choose which one to include in your gift, and they will prepare your gift with their own in-house packaging/gift box.

Nice lighting.

The cafe corner with comfortable seats.
One of their main attraction -Belgium chocolate.

Their collection of classic cookies.

We had latte and americano to go with the desserts: Belgium chocolates, brownie and cookies.

Spot a piece of cake in our serving?
That's their signature brownie, which is named 'Food for the Gods'.
Mind you, this is soooo good!
I usually couldn't tolerate sweet stuff, but this one is beyond my expectation~

Fruit cake.

I'm a fan for dark chocolate only, so Chenyee is the observer for the chocolates.
She agreed with Ms Georgianna that the chocolates don't make you feel heaty even after a few serving. She likes the round one with white creamy filling (picture above).

Apart from these sweet things, they also have assorted organic teas on shelf.

(from left)  Ginger Glow, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chamomile, Green Sencha and Black Chai.

I'm not a tea person, so again Chenyee had the serving the taste.
She had ginger glow, which she loves the mild hint of ginger and lemon grass.
For the uniqueness, she bought a box of this tea.

Before you think these are all they have, not yet, they even have jams!
I love jams~
I'd eyed on this spiced mango chutney, unfortunately I still have a few jars of jams in my fridge.
To get the most freshness from the jam, I vow to come back to grab them once I finish at least 2 jams of my own, hehe (evil grin).

So you know where to get a perfect gift now when next time you have a housewarming party to attend or visiting friends?
Check out at Ettora and they will be glad to assist you choosing the best combination.

Bonjour Garden, Dataran Sunway

I was passing by this nice little glass house last month and wondering what was it, I slowed down and realised it's a bakery.
Yey for me as I'm a fan of bread ma~

So after a few days I purposely drove here to visit this bakery.

And surprise, they even have a cafe!

Chocolate chips and custard filling bun.

Also tried the multigrain bread.

* * *

On the next visit with friends, we had lunch there.

We chose to sit at a garden bench-like seat (but with room for legs, luckily) beside water feature.
Some lighting fixture.

Their serving style are like Marche, which you will be given a plastic envelope and when you make order, they will hand you the print out receipt. So you collect the receipt in the envelope.
Not so environmental friendly, huh?

My cappuccino, a bit too watery for me. Quite bland.

However, the cold drinks look refreshing!

Michelle's Aglio olio with seafood. Quite bland and a bit oily.

Beef steak with cheese, quite a big portion. It was a good one, commented by other friends.

As the food took some time to come, we had some breads first.

My order: small margarita pizza. I thought the cheese was not burnt enough.
That's CKL's flat white at the back, which was quite good for her.

My order too, small portion of mushroom aglio olio.
Nice! Agreed by the others too.

 Choiyen's Caesar salad.

Beef burger. Looks good, but I don't take beef so I didn't get a taste.

Last but not least, a slice of cake for the celebrated member, CKL for her birthday.
Such a sinful chocolate cake!
