Likemom cafe, Plaza Damas

V told me about this Korean cafe when we're talking about cafes in Plaza Damas.
So when I was here again a few days before Christmas, I decided to search for it.

Justlike what V told me, it's indeed quite hidden behind the crowded area.

Once entering the cafe, I was instantly attracted to these pretty biscuits!
  These are with Xmas theme.

I was greeted in Korean by that little Korean girl, should be the daughter of the cafe owner. :)

My way of eating chee cheong fun

Whenever I'm back in SP, my mom will ask me "what's for breakfast?" before sleeping, so that they could get me something from the morning market.

If not loh kuey teow (flat noodles in black soy sauce gravy), I will sometimes go for something light, such as chee cheong fun.

My favourite breakfast at home with black coffee.
This one was quite good with chilli. Very spicy indeed.
My mom said the one selling this is a quiet and hardworking lady. She has good business but still wearing a smile all the time and remembers every orders she received.
She must be enjoying it very much. :)

Back to chee cheong fun.
I use to spend very long time eating it, not that they are in big portion.
It's because I love to unroll each of the cut pieces to let every parts to have sauce on them.
It tastes better like that.
And of course I wouldn't want to finish a great meal in a quick way, would you?

I wonder if there's someone eating chee cheong fun like me. XD

Afternoon tea @ Delicious One Utama

MW bought the Afternoon tea for 2 voucher from Groupon and treated me!
Thank you~

I hardly purchased anything from these discounted gift certificates from websites as I kinda doubt the service and product. Period.
But lucky we enjoyed our afternoon tea at Delicious One Utama on one weekday.

3-tier of desserts and a choice of tea or coffee.
i had hot latte.

 Sandwich at the lowest deck.

We chose Red velvet.

Some big fat strawberries spotted.
They were very sweet as well!

Overall, the experience was a pleasant one. Nice food!

My Elephant + @Aman Suria Damansara

My first visit to My Elephant was...5 years ago.
My makan gang celebrated my birthday at the outlet in Happy Mansion then.
I couldn't recall how's the food, but it's a memorable moment for me. :)

That was our first birthday celebration together, thanks for the treat my friends!

Fast forward to November 2012, fy and I went to this My Elephant+ in Aman Suria Damansara after work. This time was a few days after they got the best Thai food from TimeOut KL Food Awards.

Pot luck at my place

Reason for a party?

Kimchi soup was cooked by Choiyen at my place that morning. It proved to be the most popular dish as it's cleared up so soon before I could get my second bowl of it!

KS, the celebrated one, prepared the ice-cream in this oh-so-nice way!
Scooping the ice-cream (even if it's just the normal one) into the coconut -and somemore still with flesh- and topped with almond flakes.
Who wouldn't want this? ;)

Now it's in Jaya One.

We're here for good food. Soul Kitchen, Penang.

We're back in Soul Kitchen for good food. :)

We were actually wanted to visit a cafe at Carnavon Street, but too bad it was not opened until 2pm for being in an event somewhere. We reached at 12.30pm sharp which is their opening hour.
Next time then.

Soul Kitchen was on our mind then.
Luckily it's opened. (They closed for some time before that)

t-break Danish, Tesco Mutiara Damansara

There are a lot of new tenants since this Tesco outlet reopened a few months ago.
Good to know that Madam Lim and Santai Kitchen remain.

And one of the newbies that excites me is t-break. 
They sell pastries as well as meal.

 I was attracted by the cute danishes nicely displayed at the entrance.
I was told by the lady boss (I supposed) that their danishes are so good that I would come back for them.
Sounds inviting, but I was in a hurry that I couldn't dine in, so I bought 2 to try.
 Apple danish.
The first bite already won me over!
It's very fresh too.

I visited Greenlicious for a few times after my first visit in August this year.

We were quite eager to try upon knowing that, so one day we decided to be there to have dinner.

Invited review: Gokuraku Ramen

Like doughnut and pork burger, ramen has becoming another F&B trend in Malaysia. Ramen shops are mushrooming especially in Klang Valley area.

I'd only visited 2-3 ramen shops so far in KV area, and to date I've never really been impressed.
So when I was invited to do a review for Goku Raku Ramen, I accepted and prayed for delicious ramen. 

It was a rainy Tuesday and I predicted heavy traffic jam from PJ to Mid Valley. Not really happy for my accurate prediction, I was caught in jam for more than an hour to reach just in time for the review. *phew*
As soon as most of us arrived and ready for the dinner, we were introduced to 2 Japanese chefs who are the important person for Gokuraku Ramen. We were lucky to meet Mr Teruhisa Shimizu (on the right) as he was coincidentally here and he was going to leave KL after the dinner meet up with us.

Mr Shimizu hails from Tottori, Japan. He gained his cooking skills in Matsue and Hiroshima city before venturing into his own business, and now he owns many restaurants including ramen restaurants in Japan.

That brings you Gokuraku Ramen, which has the "horikiri style" ramen, discovered by the noted ramen connoisseur, Mr Shimizu. The unique style meshes well with the palatable pork, chicken and fish mixed broth, as well as the Shio (salt) and Shoyu (Japanese soy sauce) soup base made specially by the chef. Our broths are simmered to perfection for 36 hours to bring out its exquisite taste and our ramen are made fresh daily with our ramen making machine.
