Mello Yello, Hero Supermarket TTDI

It was a pleasant finding in the neighbourhood as I hardly came by here.
If it wasn't for a meeting nearby, I probably won't stumble upon this cute cafe in the supermarket.

I tried their cappuccino (RM7.80), and it wasn't bad at all.
Well, I wasn't expecting much, so glad that it turned out well. :)

The vege sandwich was good! That's roasted brinjal, cheese and tomato paste I think.
Of course, not forgetting the main subject -the delicious ciabata. ;)

Mello Yello is attached to Hero Supermarket at
TTDI Plaza, Jalan Wan Kadir 3,
6000 Kuala Lumpur.

Homecook: Couscous

It was a simple and quick lunch with couscous.
I wasn't sure how to cook and how easy to prepare it until I ask chenyee.

While soaking couscous in hot water, I stir-fried asparagus bean and carrot.
After that couscous has already absorbed the water. ( I put a little too much so I drained it)

Sprinkling some sea salt, add some olive oil and cut cherry tomatoes, it's ready to serve. :)

Pumpkin bread by The Baker's Son

One of my favourite bread from the bakery.

Birthday gifts -food!

Yeah, my birthday celebration with friends and family with food!

Apple crumble as cake from my secondary schoolmates at Marmalade Cafe, Bangsar Village II.
I didn't expect so many to turn up, thanks guys!

They really know what I want~ ;)
Organic chocolate 72% cocoa from Mark & Spencer, and tortillas (also from M&S) from my sister fy.

Red velvet cake and cold brew coffee, both by Whisk were given by J my housemate.

That's pumpkin custard at Rama V, my dinner with makan gang.

Thanks again to all the lovely people to spend time having fun with me.
I appreciate all the love given to me!

A gift from dear friend: Ikea bread storage bag

All my close friends know that I'm a roti lover.
When I received this lovely birthday gift from KL, I was indeed very happy.
And happy for my bread to have a lovely 'bed' too. :)

All the while I put my bread in this basket.
Now they look even better with the bread bag.

By the way, that's apple & oat bread by White Brick Oven resting in the bag.

My Elephant+ (II)

Chenyee never tried My Elephant while I did for 3 times already.
So we 3 sisters were there for dinner on a weekend and thought it was a good idea to have hot & spicy Thai food on a rainy night.

We had popiah sod pomelo to bite first. RM15.
Nice small bite loaded with vege inside the shiny transparent popiah skin.
Stir-fried paku, RM15.
Look at the green. Freshness confirmed.

Tom ka, RM12.
This soup was supposed to come with chicken meat, but we requested for meatless one and luckily they obliged.
How you don't love hot soup on a cooling night?

Steam tofu, RM15.
The sauce was salty to balance up with the plain tofu, and it's good to go plain white rice too -in this case it's brown rice. :)
I think that's baked bean sauce, but my sis thought it's soy bean paste (taucu).

Another pleasant dining experience at My Elephant + @Aman Suria Damansara for the good food and great service. :)

My previous visit last November.

The Carpenter's Daughter Artisan Bakery & Cafe 2nd visit

I planned (in heart) to have lunch here when I knew I had a site meeting in Subang that morning. ;)
(it's not often I can go to Subang)

Anyway, me and MS needed a place to have lunch as well as to have discussion after the meeting, so I suggested here, and here we were.

I had set lunch for RM19.90. Here's my minestrone soup, and mushroom soup for MS.
Bread for both of us.

My carbonara al-funghi.
Nice, I cleared all. :)

I would not leave without buying their bread, of course. :)
So I got ciabata, RM6.90.
Luckily I managed to get unsliced bread loaf as they were slicing most of the loaves then.

The lovely ciabata with olives inside.

My quick bite with cheese, fresh vege and sesame sauce, that's it.

RAW Coffee, Jalan Ampang (2 visits)

This was a spontaneous date with the girls.
We were chatting on and off on Whatsapp on Saturday morning. One was getting ready to go to city centre, one was supposed to have a lunch date with other friends but canceled at last minute. Another one, which is me, was on the way back after a meeting and contemplating on whether to eat out or go home.

In the end, the 3 girls met at one place and went into the city in one car. :)

After a short walk in KLCC, we walked to RAW coffee (Real And Wholesome) in Wisma Equity, just opposite to KLCC from Jalan Ampang side.

Our coffee fix- one cappuccino and one flat white.

The other girl is not a coffee person ordered organic tea by Sonnentor.

Amelio, Desa Park City Waterfront

My lunch date with MW will normally be at DPC as her office is quite near from here.

I bought bread from Amelio before, but I've yet to dine here.
We chose to sit outdoor as the weather was quite good that day.

Overlooking the park and expensive houses.

Both of us had set lunch at RM19.90, consists of a side salad, a drink and the chosen meal.

My thai style tuna (spicy one) focaccia with potato wedges and salad.
It's quite a big portion. Nice one.

MW's chicken chop with salad and fries.
Also with a slice of walnut raisin bread.

Artisan bread by White Brick Oven

I bought the bread from Justlife.
Chenyee has been talking about the baker -Mr Martin, about how awesome the bread he can bake. :)

Focaccia by White Brick Oven.

The bread is good enough to be toasted lightly,
and to eat with balsamic vinegar + olive oil. Simply delicious.
