Glutinous Rice Balls (tang yuan) for Winter solstice

Winter solstice is one of the major celebration for Chinese, which I adore very much. It's been a tradition in my family to mark it as an important day since I was young.

We will make glutinous rice balls on the night before we have prayers.

But since we are away from home, we couldn't celebrate it with the rest of family members.

So we make glutinous rice ball on our own.

We started quite late at about 10.30pm. 

Luckily we had 2 housemates to help us out.

And nice arrangement by Jamie too.

We had blue colour from blue flower and yellow ones are from carrot.

That's all we had.

We finished the making by 1.30am. XD
