Savoury oat porridge and local organic fruits
I was already feeling sore throat is coming a few days ago, so I started to gurgle with sea salt water and consume 1 teaspoon of Manuka honey every morning. These remedies, I believe, help me to have less sickness and recover faster.
So on Sunday morning (after a long day -baking since 2am then selling at the market in the farm from 9am to 2pm on Saturday) I was totally down with flu. Headache, sore throat, runny nose, light cough, backache all came together. I woke up late in the morning, around 10am, to have something to eat.
I wasn't very hungry but still I cooked a small bowl of miso soup with tofu and wakame. It's been raining these few days so some warm soup could bring comfort. I also steamed oat molasses bun but I only finished eating it after a few hours as I continued sleeping.
Yes, sleeping is also one of the best remedies. After all, falling sick is a sign to take rest and take good care of yourself.
I was already feeling better the next day. I could wake up at my usual timing and I felt hungry.
But I thought I should skip my usual coffee and bread, so I cooked oat porridge with onion, brazillian spinach, wakame then topped with ground flaxseed, sauerkraut and fermented bean curd (fuyu).
It's a tummy warming meal.
Good that I bought some local organic guavas from Mui Acres.
It's mini that I had the whole fruit as snack by myself.

I also have some local organic figs (from HH Farm, Bentong) in the chiller. I had them in the morning with breakfast as well as after dinner.

My sister cooked noodles (刀削面) bought from Justlife cooked with sweet potatoes and nai bak (奶白菜). This noodles is one of the must-haves in our pantry. It's very good.
