ChinaHouse -Beach Street, Penang

Undeniably, here is one of the most popular cafes in Penang Island recently.
When we were there on day 5 of Chinese new year, it was full house.

This is what I mean when I said China -full- House. ;P

We were walking from front to the back of the cafe looking for seats.
Meanwhile, we explored this very long and slim old time shop house and cam-whoring.

 Also with a wine room.

Nice courtyard.

When we were about to give up and leave as we found no empty table, there's people leaving from the first table near the entrance.

We were lucky. :)

Fy had her crushed mint and lime soda, RM10.
Very refreshing.

 My cappuccino, RM10.
Not as good as I expected, as many said good.
Maybe they were busy serving such a huge crowd on that day.

Chenyee's latte, RM10.
No magic as well.

Pineapple upsidedown (RM8) and kahlua tiramisu (RM12).
Nice cakes~

The pricy chicken pie (RM30), but with the oh-so-tasty mashed potato, we satisfied. :)
We wanted to try a dish with avocado, but unfortunately it's unavailable on the day.

The crowd started to dismiss after an hour.

Chenyee's doodle.

  1. One of the best coffee i've tried in penang. Did they serve a bottle of cold water with the coffee? They did serve mine and i think that's great. Perhaps you should try the China (not so full) House next time to see if it's got better :)
By the way, I've tried their pumpkin beef lagsana, superb despite pricey but worth it.

    1. yes they serve a water bottle to almost every table, but not ours. They missed. :( will give them another chance though(for the sake of trying their other food!) hehe~

    1. I didn't know the price until I got the bill (ordered by chenyee).
I was shocked too, but nevertheless it tasted great. :)
